MLP Pledge Amounts for the 2019 DOER Solar Rebate Program
If you live in a town with a municipally owned power company, odds are you’ve heard of the new Solar Rebate Program, which compensates homeowners at $1.20 per watt of solar power installed. If you haven’t: check out our previous blog post on the subject.
Under this program, half of the rebate will be paid for by the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER), and the other half by the customer’s local Municipal Light Plant (MLP). However, each MLP has pledged different amounts to the program, meaning customers in towns with smaller pledges should act swiftly if they want to get the rebate.
Check out below how much your town has pledged to the program, and keep in mind that the final amount will be twice that, since the DOER is matching the pledges.
