Homeowners in towns with municipally owned power companies rejoice! After years of being excluded from generous solar state incentive programs, homeowners in MLP areas are finally being awarded a significant win.
Starting on May 20th, 2019, the Massachusetts DOER has pledged 2.3 million dollars to help fund a rebate program assisting with the installation of solar power for people in participating MLP territories.
If you live in one of the towns listed, you may be able to qualify for a $1.20 per watt rebate on your solar installation. On an average 5 KW system, that would be a $6,000 rebate. If you combine that with the 30% Federal Tax Credit (available until the end of 2019), you may be able to receive over 50%-off the sticker price of solar.
These rebates are first come first served, so we recommend beginning the process as soon as possible. If you’re interested in learning more, please fill out the form on this page and we will reach out to you.
We’re a family owned company that has been doing solar in Massachusetts for 11 years, and we’d be more than happy to walk you through the process.
