$10,000 whole home heat pump rebate on a new installation
WMLP offers a $10,000* rebate to customers who: 1) install a new heat pump system that provides between 90% and 120% of their home heating load; and 2) remove and decommission their existing fossil fuel and/or electric resistance heating system. Customers who choose to retain their existing system (e.g., for backup heat or for hot water) are eligible for a lower $8,000 rebate.

What are the Mass Save® Air Source Heat Pump Incentives?
The 2026 Mass Save® Air Source Heat Pump Incentives offer $2,650 per 12,000 BTUs of capacity up to $8,500 for whole-home heat pump installations. For the whole home-rebate, the heat pump must be your sole source of heating and cooling with the fossil fuel system disconnected or removed, and the home must be fully weatherized to program standards.
Income-based enhanced incentives off eligible customers up to $16,000 or up to 100% off heat pump installations. You must meet income requirements, and the heat pump must be your sole source of heating and cooling.
Partial Home Rebates are also available for outdoor condensers, with up to $1,125 per 12,000 BTUs of capacity up to $8,500. Partial installation must fully offset a zone or use integrated controls with the existing fossil fuel system.
